April J.

Veterinary Assistant

April is just beginning what will hopefully be a long-term career here at MAH. She is a kind soul who is compassionate for the animal career. She cares equally for both pets and people. April will love and care about your pet as if they were her own. Don’t let the “new” factor fool you. She may still be learning the ways of MAH, but she does have quite the history in the veterinary field.

April is certified as a Veterinary Assistant. She graduated from Animal Behavior College’s online program for Veterinary Assisting in 2017. After graduating, she proceeded to gain 6 years of experience in the veterinary field. She’s had 5 years of experience in general practice veterinary, and 1 year in emergency veterinary. In these 6 years, she has more than confirmed her belief that the veterinary field is her calling. It is her dream to stay in the veterinary field and to continue both her experience and education.

Outside of work, April likes to relax at home with her partner, Devan, and their pets. They have two cats, Lightning and Thor, and a teddy bear hamster named Ozzy. She enjoys playing video games with her partner, and also loves to play music, typically 80s rock/hair bands, and she sings and dances around the house. While she’s singing and dancing, odds are she is also doing house chores or baking up a delicious dessert. Outside of the house, April and her partner enjoy hiking. They have gone on several adventures so far, with their favorite place being Sharon woods. April feels most at peace with nature. To her, it’s the best way to relax.

Mama

Clinic Cat

Often elusive and very cute. Mama cat is a shadowy figure that comes and goes at her own accord and does not listen very well to any humans that are around her. We love Mama cat very much.

Blueburt

Clinic Cat

Often called the best but worst cat. You can find Blubert often sleeping or trying to steal food from unsuspecting humans. His favorite snacks include rubber bands and house plants. He is a prolific hunter of mice, birds, and carbohydrates. Blubert currently lives with several birds which he likes to stare at and sometimes terrorize. We love you very much Mr. Blubert!
